Reed Diffusers

Reed Diffusers are a stylish way to scent your home without electricity or flame. They blend nicely with home decor and look good in a professional business and office environment.

They are easy to use, cost effective and low maintence. Great for businesses, offices, classrooms, nursing homes, hospital rooms, dorm rooms and in homes. Our powerfully scented reed diffusers will last for months.

To use: Pour 2-4 oz of infused fragrance oil in container. Put reeds in container. In a few minutes, after reeds tips are soaked, flip reeds over. Spread out in fan shape. It takes 12-24 hours for scent to fully wick up reeds.

To refresh scent flip reeds over every 2-7 days as needed, when you notice ends look dry. Turn them every 2 days in areas that have more dust. Dust will clog the reeds, along with the air flow and scent. Scent will last for several months, until oil is finally used up. You do not need to cover or cork container at night. Small opening prevents fragrance from evaporating too quickly. Open windows, air conditioning, heat, humidity and fans can all affect scent distribution. We like to put our diffusers near areas people walk, not stuck back in a corner. Some air movement is helpful. When people move by the diffusers you get a wonderful aroma as the scent disburses through the air.

You may reuse container, wash with soap and water if switching fragrances. Reeds must be replaced every few months and between fragrances. We use real rattan reeds.  Bamboo and wood although pretty and good for decoration do not work as effectively at wicking up oils and scent. We use a special diffuser oil designed for maximum wicking of fragrance.

We have tested and researched the use of alcohol in reeed oil bases. Some claim to use no alcohol and only oils in their reed refills. We have found you need a little alcohol for the oils to properly wick up the reeds. The oil bases only coat the reeds but do not allow them to properly wick. They will still smell good but do not perform as well. The cheap reed diffusers sold in big box stores are made overseas with a high alcohol content which evaporates very quickly along with using low quality scents that have questionable chemical contents. The cheap price attracts people but you get what you pay for! Good diffuser oils are expensive to make but far outlast and outperform cheaply made products.
