Benefits of Clays and Salts

*Clays are ancient and come from the gradual weathering of rocks, formations deep in the soil or deposits formed elsewhere but eroded into marine, lake areas. They are either the rare primary group, which is mined directly from the place formed or the common secondary group, taken from deposits that were transported from other locations. There are several main classification groups of clays, kaolinite, montmorillonite-smectite and illite. Within those groups are about 30 different types of pure clays. Each has slightly different properties. For centuries animals and humans have used clay for medicinal and skin care purposes. Only some white and green clays can be taken internally.
