Candle Information

soy candles

Our soy candles are made with 100% pure soy wax and all cotton wicks. Each candle is individually hand poured in freshly made small batches. We mix, wick, and pour each candle by hand. Every candle is optimally scented with the best quality fragrance oil for an incredible smelling candle the entire burn.

100% pure soy wax candles are far superior to paraffin in many ways.

Some people sell soy candles that are made with a combination of soy and paraffin, or will be made with lead or zinc wicks. Those are not natural or clean burning!

We have a great variety of soy candles. Our best sellers are 6oz & 15oz in jars, but we also have soy candles in tea cups, coffee mugs, collectables and much more. Our cappuccino and coke floats have soy wax that I whipped added to the top.

Soy wax is all natural made from soybeans grown by U. S. farmers. Paraffin is a by product of petroleum that tests have shown are loaded with chemicals and at least eleven carcinogens that go into the air you breathe.

Soy candles are clean burning, producing 90% less soot than paraffin candles so it will not pollute your home. It will not leave soot-stains or discolor walls & furniture.

Soy is natural so it is easier on people with breathing problems, children and pets. Soy is good for us to eat, and put on our skin.

Soy wax is environmentally friendly, and bio-degradable. It is a renewable resource.

Soy spills are easy to clean up with hot soapy water and they will not clog drains.

Soy candles are long burning, lasting twice as long as paraffin. They burn at a lower temp and they are a softer wax.

Gel candles are very beautiful and long lasting. They shimmer and glisten when lit. They smell wonderful and invigorating.

To ensure safety and quality we use only the patented Penreco gel wax. We use glass or hard wax embeds in the gel candles.

We have very realistic drinks, colas, ice tea, and more all complete with the ice cubes!! They are glamorous and eye catching.

I am currently working with new techniques, including glow in the dark glitters which are gorgeous and greatly enhance the plain gel candles. I am also testing a candle with an insert that can be burned and refilled to preserve the outer gel and embeds, so they will never burn down. Keep checking the web site for latest products.

To keep all candles smelling their freshest, and to keep them free of dust and debris it is best to keep them covered when not lit or on a warmer.  Soy candles can be gently washed in warm soapy water with a soft cloth if they do get dirty!>

Scent throw is strongest in warm candles. Our soy container candles smell wonderful on candle warmers in areas you do not want a flame. Great for offices and around children or pets.

Bakery candles

Our bakery candles are each individually handmade with high quality gel and soy waxes. Embeds are made from soy and paraffin.

These scrumptious desserts look so real. Once you get a sniff of the heavenly aroma it will make your mouth water. So please keep away from children and pets who might actually try a bite! Wax does not taste very good!!

Bakery candles can be made with or without wicks if you prefer to use as décor only. Specify your preference when ordering.

We have many designs to choose from, and all are made true to real life size. Choose from milkshakes, cinnamon rolls, banana splits, parfaits, sundaes, pie slices, and many more!!

our candles

We scent every candle we make with the maximum amount of high quality fragrance oil.  Some will claim that they “triple scent” their candles. It is misleading, and is just a marketing ploy. Candle wax will only hold a certain amount of scent and still burn properly. The wick can clog & it will look oily if over scented. The quality of fragrance oil used, a proper wick and mixing fragrance in wax at the proper temperature is what gives candles the best possible scent.

Great care is taken in the safety and quality of each candle we make. Candles are test burned and only the best wicks are used for each container, wax and fragrance combination. Candle making takes a great deal of patience, time and practice with special attention to detail. You must have correct combinations and temperatures for the best possible candle for every scent and container. We have years of experience in making great smelling, great burning candles.

Special attention is paid to detail. We make our own wax embeds, which takes extra time, but allows control over the type of wax used which is especially important for gel candles that burn very hot.

Maintaining your candle will result in a better burning candle. Trim wick between each burn and remove any droppings with a toothpick.

Wicks have a "memory" so your first burn is very important. Please remember to let candle burn to edge of container, appoximately 1 hour per inch diameter of candle. If you don't, it will "tunnel".  Each time you light the candle it will burn to the original burn pool, instead of to the edges of container and you will never get the full experience of the scent throw. We carefully select our wicks to match each fragrance, since some burn hotter. Every container candle we sell is designed to burn every bit of wax to the edges. Many store bought or poorly made candles without the proper wick size will never burn to the edges which wastes wax and your money!

Safety precautions

Burning candles can be enjoyable and relaxing if proper precautions are taken.

~To ensure even burning trim wick to ¼ ”

~ Remove all packaging before lighting candle.

~ Burn on stable & heat resistant surface no longer than 4 hours at a time.

~ Keep out of drafts and high traffic areas. Drafts cause uneven burning.

~ Keep candles out of reach of children & pets.

~ Do not burn near curtains or around items that could fall or be knocked on to candle.

~ Keep all items out of container like matches and wick trim

~ Do not pick up or move a lit candle as container may become hot.

~ If candle smokes, flickers repeatedly or flame becomes larger than 1” high, extinguish, cool for 1 hour,  trim wick shorter, then relight..

~  When finished burning candle, extinguish and allow jar to cool before replacing lid.

~Stop burning candle when it reaches 1/2” from bottom. Excess heat can crack the container.

~ Keep candles out of direct sunlight. Extremes of heat and cold should be avoided. Do not store in the freezer or leave in a hot car.

~ Never leave the room with a burning candle left unattended
